Protection includes advising on securing the underlying intellectual property, whether it be patents, trademarks, copyright or trade secrets.

As well, George advises on commercialising technology. This includes the use of technology by organisation in the course of its business as well as the licensing of technology by an organisation for its use.

As well, George can assist with your general requirements in setting up your business, including incorporation, employment contracts, consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements and registering trademarks.

Details

The purchase and sale of technology can involve a number of steps, including the negotiation and drafting of the purchase and sale agreement, due diligence on the technology being purchased and the transfer of the technology.

George assists with the negotiation and drafting of many technology agreements including software licenses, e-commerce agreements, Application Service Provider (ASP) agreements, Software As A Service (SAAS) agreements, technology purchase and sale agreements, technology escrow agreements, computer services agreements, software development agreements, system procurement agreements, technology licenses, Internet agreements, technology development agreements, hardware purchase agreements, research and development agreements, data licenses, trade secret agreements, patent licenses, non-disclosure agreements and telecommunication agreements.

George also assists with the resolution of disputes. This may include negotiating settlements and drafting settlement agreements. Disputes can arise in relation to ownership of technology, infringement of third party rights as well as the right to use technology.
